Forrest Frank ranks among world’s biggest touring acts

New concert industry data shows Forrest Frank has become one of the most successful live acts in music, outselling major acts such as Tame Impala and comedian Shane Gillis.

According to new rankings released by concert-industry publication Pollstar, Frank’s “Jesus Generation Tour” debuted this week at No. 5 on the publication’s LIVE75 chart, which ranks tours by average tickets sold per show. He also made his first appearance on Pollstar’s Global Concert Pulse chart, landing at No. 12 worldwide.

Based on ticket sales reported from the first 12 dates of his 29-city summer tour, Frank is averaging 18,175 attendees per show — the highest attendance average of any artist currently touring primarily in arenas, according to Pollstar.

The only artists ahead of Frank on the LIVE75 chart are global stadium acts: Bad Bunny, BTS, Luke Combs and Iron Maiden. Comedian Shane Gillis (No. 6) and artists Tame Impala (No. 8) and Aitana (No. 7) come in below him.

The numbers show just how meteoric Frank’s rise has been over the past few years. The artist, formerly one half of the pop group Surfaces, launched his first headlining “Child of God Tour” in 2024, drawing 48,246 attendees across 17 reported performances, according to Pollstar archives.

One year later, “Child of God Tour Part 2” expanded dramatically, drawing 214,626 fans across 26 shows and grossing more than $11 million.

Less than two years after his first major headlining tour, the “Your Way’s Better” singer is now selling out arenas and drawing stadium crowds that rival some of the biggest names in live entertainment.

His current “Jesus Generation Tour,” promoted by TPR, the faith-based concert division of LiveCo, launched June 1 at Tulsa, Oklahoma’s BOK Center with a sold-out crowd of 17,717 fans. The tour, featuring support from Tori Kelly, Cory Asbury and The Figs, runs through Aug. 1 and concludes with a stadium show at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

Pollstar’s Global Concert Pulse rankings, which measure average gross revenue per performance, place Frank at No. 12 worldwide with an average gross of $1.46 million per show.

The tour’s largest audience so far came on June 15 at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania, which drew 27,365 attendees. Frank’s June 19 performance at Nashville’s GEODIS Park welcomed 23,667 fans, while a June 12 show at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia, attracted 22,392 concertgoers.

Among arena dates, Frank’s strongest attendance figure came on June 16 at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he sold 18,222 tickets.

The touring success mirrors Frank’s rapid commercial growth as a recording artist. His 2024 album Child of God topped Christian music charts and crossed into mainstream success, while its follow-up, Child of God II, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart and reached No. 12 on the all-genre Billboard 200.

“As long as I’m putting the truth of the Gospel in the songs, and if I can recognize the Holy Spirit in the music, then I know that He’s going to be doing the work because I don’t put any pressure on it,” Frank told The Christian Post in a 2024 interview.

“Jesus is my Savior, and I’m alive when I worship Him,” he said. “Once I started making Christian music and worshiping Him, going back to making pop music is like air. There’s no substance in it for me personally. The fact that I get to wake up every day and worship Jesus and then just record it, and other people get to worship Jesus, too, it is so fulfilling and so life-giving, and I’m here to stay.”
