What has God given me that could help someone else?
Could I give some of my time to solve this problem?
What skills do I have that I could offer to make a difference for someone else?
Is there a practical need I could meet in this situation?
How can I pray for grace if I can’t personally help?
Could me simply just showing up help someone who is carrying a burden?
As we read the headlines about the blood shortage, let’s be reminded that so many of us have the power to help solve this problem. Simply making an appointment and sitting in that blood donation chair can save a life! Christians are uniquely positioned to respond because the gospel teaches to be people who love others well. We give freely because we are recipients of the best gift of all, the love of Christ! Amazingly, loving your neighbor often looks less like a grand gesture and more like quietly giving what you have so someone else can keep living.
