Christian influencer Bryce Crawford is defending his decision to interview Vice President JD Vance on his podcast amid criticism, alleging that those who think he should not give a platform to people because of their political views “lack the love of God.”

In a video Wednesday, Crawford directed a message at critics of his interview with Vance, who had appeared on the “Bryce Crawford Podcast” for an episode that aired Monday, saying those who “think someone is undeserving of a faith-based conversation because of what political party they’re associated with” can unfollow him.

“You can unfollow me,” he said, referring to those who believe that he should not have faith-based conversations with people based on political affiliation and other characteristics. “That’s not the Gospel I preach. The Gospel that I preach and I believe in is that anyone who has ears can hear.”

The influencer said he is willing to “sit down with anyone, anywhere, anytime and have a faith-based conversation.”

“And if you are willing to draw the line and say ‘Oh, this person isn’t deserving of a faith-based conversation or a Jesus conversation because of [blank],’ then you lack the love of God because the love of God is on the table for everyone,” he said.

In 2024, Crawford went viral when holding a conversation with a Satanist. During their exchange, Crawford offered to pray for the Satanist, which he accepted.

As for Crawford’s conversation with Vance, the two discussed a variety of topics, including President Donald Trump’s controversial meme depicting himself as a Christ-like healer. Vance assured Crawford that the president “didn’t mean any offense.”

Vance also shared how he has “been in meetings with world leaders where various issues are being discussed, and somebody will say something or somebody will make an observation” that causes him to “feel a certain darkness about it.” The vice president told Crawford: “It sort of sets off every spiritual alarm bell in my body.”

The End Times were an additional topic that came up during the conversation, with Vance telling Crawford, “I think that there are, like, things about the world that make me feel like I’d be not shocked if the Antichrist was walking among us.” As to whether the world has actually reached the End Times, Vance conceded, “I don’t know.”
