Vice President JD Vance found himself in the hot seat during a recent appearance on ABC’s “The View,” fielding pointed questions on everything from the Jeffrey Epstein files and illegal immigration to race relations and the Trump administration’s policies.
Vance appeared on the liberal daytime talk show to promote his memoir, Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith. The book, which was released this month, touches on various aspects of the vice president’s spiritual life, including a period of atheism and his later conversion to Catholicism.
“The View,” led by liberal entertainment veterans Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, typically features critical commentary about conservatives, in general, and President Donald Trump and his administration in particular.
At the start of the show, Vance joked about the political dynamics at play, stating: “This is a show of MAGA Republicans, right? That’s what my media team told me.”
Here are three tough questions “The View” hosts asked Vance on the show.
